Objectives

The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the main macroeconomic contexts, the economic and emp-loyment policy instruments.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge
  1. The student will learn about the decision-making mechanisms of economic agents
  2. The student will understand the labour market decisions of households and companies
  3. The student acquires knowledge about the actors of the macroeconomy and the relationships between them
  4. The student will get to know the macroeconomic markets, especially the labour market, its charac-teristics and functioning
  5. The student will become familiar with the interrelationship and characteristics of economic policy and employment policy, the institutional conditions influencing the performance and competitiveness of the macro-economy and their impact.
Ability
  1. Able to communicate professionally, orally and in writing, on these topics
  2. The student will be able to understand the impact of economic processes on organisational decisions re-lated to human resources
  3. The student is able to understand the interrelationship between economic processes and employment policies, their impact on organisational operations and decisions.
Attitude
  1. To cooperate readily with representatives of other professions on a given issue.
  2. Proactively raise and contribute to issues affecting his/her work.
  3. Is able to listen to and accept the views and opinions of others.

  1. Able to search for and correctly interpret articles on economic phenomena and to see the links between economic processes and the specificities of organisational functioning.

Performance evaluation methods

A. Detailed description of the performance assessments during the term: assessment of performance: 2 written assignments B. Performance assessment during the examination period. The oral examination shall include the answering of homework questions by the instructor.

Proportion of performance evaluations performed during the diligence period in the rating

  • partial performance evaluation - homework completion: 80%
  • sum: 80%

Proportion of examination elements in the rating

  • - oral exam - answering homework questions: 20%
  • sum: 20%

The condition for obtaining the signature, validity of the signature

The condi-tion for obtaining the signature is the completion of all project tasks according to point 3.3
