PROFESSIONAL ENGLISH COMMUNICATION AND LITERATURE RESEARCH - BMEGT52M111

The aim of the course is for students to understand various topics related to Work and Organizational Psychology in English. Additional aim of the course is for the students to fluently and acitvely participate in professional English communication related to Work and Organizational Psychology, and be able to represent and defend their professional stance during logical argumentation.

1. Students become familiar with and acquire the most closely related professional expressions to Work and organizational Psychology.
2. Students become familiar with various topics within the field of Work and Organizational Psychology, as laying the foundations for other courses of the master programme.
3. Students become familiar with the fundamental methodology of scientific literature research and the criteria of scientific essay writing.

1. Students successfully create and develop their own professional English vocabulary.
2. Students are able to communicate and express themselves in general topics related to Work and Organizational Psychology.
3. Students acquire the basic skills for scientific reading and critical thinking.

1. Students are open to become familiar with and apply professional expressions in different communicational situations.
2. Students are open to the opinion of others, as well as they are able to express and compare their own thoughts and remarks with those of others in a constructive and respectful manner.

• Órai prezentációk, a hallgatók által szabadon választható, angol nyelvű tudományos cikkek. - Presentations during lectures, scientific articles (made of students’ choice).

A 2.2. pontban megfogalmazott tanulási eredmények értékelése egy évközi írásbeli teljesítménymérés (összegző tanulmányi teljesítményértékelés) és házi feladatok alapján történik.

Szorgalmi időszakban végzett teljesítményértékelések részletes leírása: 1. részteljesítmény értékelés (házi feladat): a tantárgy és tudás, képesség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex, írásos és szóbeli értékelési módja angol nyelvű prezentáció készítése és bemutatás csoportos feladat jelleggel, szabadon választott témában. 2. részteljesítmény értékelés (házi feladat): a tantárgy és tudás, képesség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex, írásos értékelési módja angol nyelvű jelentkezési csomag (önéletrajz és motiváció levél) készítése egyéni feladat jelleggel.

• rész teljesítményértékelés (2x50%): 100

A hallgató a félévközi jegy javításaként a pótlási hét végéig a félév során elsajáított alkalmazott pszichológiai témákból készít 4-5 oldalas tudományos igényességgel elkészített esszét, amelynek kizárólagos eredményéből születik meg a javított félévközi jegy.

A 2.2. pontban megfogalmazott tanulási eredmények eléréséhez a tantárgy a következő tematikai blokkokból áll. Az egyes félévekben meghirdetett kurzusok sillabuszaiban e témaelemeket ütemezzük a naptári és egyéb adottságok szerint.
