Objectives

One of the aims of the course is to increase students' sensitivity to the ethical aspects of psychological activity and to provide aspects and techniques for dealing with ethical dilemmas. Another goal of the course is to pro-vide clues to professional orientation and help students with career planning. During the course, we list the pro-fessional ethical norms, issues and possible ethical dilemmas related to psychological activities, more precisely research, scientific communication, clinical trials, and work and organizational psychological activities, and their possible solutions. In addition to professional ethics issues, we deal with professional tasks that can be per-formed with a degree in psychology, the competencies required for this profession, various psychological career paths, and further training and development opportunities in order to prepare for a career and support career socialization.

  1. The student knows the ethical norms, issues and solution possibilities of research and publication activities, clinical research, bioethics, and work and organizational psychological activities.

  1. The student is able to identify ethical dilemmas that arise in the work of psychologists and to systemati-cally consider the possibilities of their solutions.
  2. Is able to set professional goals for himself / herself, to identify the steps necessary to achieve them, to prepare a professional development plan.

Teaching methodology

Lectures, discussion of case studies, interview with a psychologist on career planning and professional ethics, presentation and joint discussion of interview lessons.

General Rules

The learning outcomes set out in section 2.2 are assessed on the basis of mid-year performance measurement.

Performance assessment methods

Detailed description of performance evaluations performed during the diligent period: Students do a group in-terview with a psychologist. The interview covers career socialization, career planning aspects, and ethical di-lemmas that arise during psychological work. The lessons of the interview are summarized in a presentation that is presented to their fellow students and discussed together.

Conditions for obtaining a signature, validity of the signature

The condition for obtaining the signature is that the student attends the classes and completes each of the project tasks according to point 3.3.
