The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the phenomena of motion picture communication, film genres, and the role of audience expectations in the enjoyment of film and media texts. In addition, it provides an introduction to the world of experience developed in the receiver/viewer, and to some important techniques of the moving image. During the course, the student can acquire a conceptual apparatus with the help of which he can find his way around the world of motion pictures in a more in-depth and comprehensive manner. During the course, we touch on the possibilities offered by new media, thus dealing with viral films, especially viral advertisements, the nature of viral phenomena, and the network in which films are distributed. We review what new platforms there are, so we deal with gifs, looping videos, and interactive films. We pay special attention to the YouTube and Twitch formats, and to the formats in which motion pictures can work today.

The assessment of the learning outcomes formulated in point 2.2 takes place in the form of making a film.

Szorgalmi időszakban végzett teljesítményértékelések részletes leírása: 1. Részteljesítmény-értékelés: A félév során ismertetésre kerülő filmes feladatok közül egyet kell mindenkinek megoldania. A megoldását a hallgatók youtube, coub(vagy más videómegosztó) link elküldésével teljesítik a zgayer@metropolitan.hu címre. Az időben leadott filmre kapott érdemjegy javítható másik verzió leadásával. 2. Az alábbi négy feladat közül egyet kell teljesíteni: 3. http://youtubedoubler.com/-ra készített videó-összeállítás, amelyből legalább az egyik saját készítésű kell, hogy legyen. A feladat az, hogy a két videó együtt fejtsen ki valamilyen hatást, vagy mutasson meg, bontson ki valamilyen jelentést 4. Egy videóklip készítése. Ezt a feladatot csoportok is csinálhatják, maximum négyen. 5. Coub készítés. Két coub-ot kell készíteni, amelyből legalább az egyik saját forgatott anyagból álljon. A coubok témája: álom, és végtelen loop 6. Filmem első perce. Egy elképzelt saját film, amelynek csak első percét kell leforgatni. Az első percnek cliffhangereket, kell alkalmaznia, azaz olyannak kell lennie, hogy a nézője sajnálja, hogy befejeződik, mert a film felépítése révén a néző tovább bírja fejben, így tovább is nézné. példafilm: https://vimeo.com/32984482
