Objectives

This course is designed to present and analyse problems in current Hungarian language, highly relevant to transla-tors, relating to word classes, morphology, syntax, text linguistics and grammar and to enable the application of grammatical and stylistic rules.

Academic results

  1. • Students are familiar with the basic grammar and spelling rules of their native language;
  2. • they know the types and methods of reasoning;
  3. • they know the characteristics of the formation of sentences and texts;
  4. • they are aware of the essential norms of correct language use.
Skills
  1. • Students are able to produce well-structured, high quality and accurate texts in their native language;
  2. • they are able to use the spelling rules learned;
  3. • they are able to use the reasoning methods learned;
  4. • they are able to assess the amount of time and work needed to complete a project;
  5. • they are able to provide and receive feedback.

  1. • They are expected to constantly improve their native language competence;
  2. • they are expected to deliver high quality written products.
