Objectives
As the third in a series of four, the subject provides participants with the opportunity to further widen their Eng-lish language knowledge in general and related to their field of study, Chemical Engineering. It provides further instruction on filling the gaps in general language knowledge and on improving their skills in special areas of English for Academic Purposes, such as academic and business presentations, in order to solidify their foundation and help participants succeed in their academic life and fulfil obligations at the required level during their studies.

- By the end of the course participants have mastered accuracy fairly well, and further widened their general, professional and technical vocabulary.

- They can take notes of recordings and summarize the information confidently.
- They can give longer presentations on topics of their interest with confidence.

Teaching methodology
Lessons involve group collaboration, individual presentation and group discussion. Part of the material needs to be managed in a self-access manner.

Evaluation comprises of regular attendance, (30% of lessons can be skipped), active participation in lessons, and completing and submitting assignments at a satisfactory level.
