Objectives

The aim of the course is to present the research areas and methods of psycholinguistics and the most important results of these areas. Students will master models of understanding, producing, and mastering speech sounds, words, and sentences, and will be able to critically evaluate them, linking them to linguistic and cognitive mod-els. It will also discuss the biological and social foundations and evolution of language, as well as disorders of language acquisition and adult language use.

  1. The student knows the basic concepts and contexts of psycholinguistics and the theories of processing, production and acquisition of each language level.

  1. The student is able to understand the typical literature on topics related to psycholinguistics and is able to independently search for literature sources.

The learning outcomes set out in point 2.2 are assessed in a written examination.

Detailed description of the performance evaluations carried out during the diligence period: Written exam: Students will acquire 1 written exam during the semester to acquire theoretical knowledge. The exam consists of multiple choice and essay questions. The questions cover the lesson material.

We take the regulations in accordance with the TVSZ as a basis / The results of the written exam can be im-proved during the replacement week. In case of correction, we take into account the more favorable of the previous and the new result for the student.
