Objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the individual's right to a healthy environment and to enable them to interpret and apply relevant legislation through the framework of legal hierarchy.
Academic results
Knowledge
- Is familiar with legal sources and the hierarchy of laws.
- Knows the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Fundamental Law of Hungary, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child adopted in New York on November 20, 1989.
- Can navigate the terminology used in Act LIII of 1995 on the General Rules of Environmental Protection and Act LIII of 1996 on the Protection of Nature.

- Is capable of locating current and applicable legislation relevant to sustainability.
- Is able to clearly disseminate information about the legal framework that ensures a healthy and livable environment to others.
- Is capable of seeking relevant assistance in legal matters concerning health, the environment, future generations, education, and universal human values.

- Is committed to tracking changes in legislation and sharing them more broadly.
- Actively seeks possible solutions to harmonize relevant international and national legal regulations in the field.

Teaching methodology
Frontal lecture combined with practical, training-based processing of the topic. Practice: cooperative learning following independent research and analysis of teacher-provided materials, interpretation of legal texts, and their application through role-play scenarios. Independent student activity: presentation of the application of legislation to a specific case.

A szorgalmi időszakban végzett teljesítményértékelések részletes leírása: Beadandó dolgozat és/vagy projektfeladatok: a tantárgy tudás, képesség, attitűd, valamint önállóság és felelősség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex értékelési módja, melynek megjelenési formája az egyénileg vagy csoportosan készített feladat.
