Objectives

The course provides an insight into some aspects of East European and Hungarian cultural heritage.

Teaching methodology

The course is a combination of two modules chosen by the students. Both modules assess class work and individual and group assignments.

The course material draws on the cultural tradition of Eastern Europe and within it the Hungarian 20th-20th century, touching on some aspects of visual art, film, the politics of memory and popular culture.
