The aim of the course is to provide students with the opportunity to carry out individual or group research in one of the following areas: argumentation theory, persuasion techniques, organisational communication, philosophy of technology, philosophy and history of science, science communication, business communication, crisis communication. In line with this, the course will also aim to develop students' research skills in scientific problem-solving and literature research, the application of qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the drawing of conclusions and the presentation of scientific results.

1. Knowledge of the methodological foundations of social science.
2. Knowledge of the relationship between science, education, society and the media, the various manifestations of this relationship and their consequences.
3. Knowledge of the broader system of the discipline, the identification and recognition of links with related disciplines, the use of the opportunities offered by the broader system and the contexts in which it operates.

1. In their professional vocabulary, they confidently use the vocabulary of the profession, the basic scientific concepts of the profession and the elements of the specialised vocabulary based on them.
2. They have the ability to see things in a new way and to approach science and its environment from an interdisciplinary perspective.
3. Ability to analyse, evaluate, synthesise conclusions and explanations in professional tasks.
4. Ability to apply a range of techniques for the critical analysis and processing of information.
5. Ability to engage in a lifelong learning process.
6. Identify specific professional problems using a multi-faceted, interdisciplinary approach, and explore and apply the detailed theoretical and practical background necessary to solve them.
7. By applying the theories and methods learnt, he/she identifies facts and basic relationships, organises and analyses, draws independent conclusions, makes critical observations, prepares proposals for decisions, and makes decisions in routine and partly unfamiliar contexts, both national and international.

A. Szorgalmi időszakban végzett teljesítményértékelések részletes leírása: 1. Részteljesítmény értékelés (kutatás): az oktatóval előre egyeztetett egyéni vagy csoportos kutatási feladat elvégzése. 2. Részteljesítmény értékelés (beszámoló): beszámoló az oktatóval előre egyeztetett egyéni vagy csoportos kutatásról (részeredmények, felmerülő problémák). B. Vizsgaidőszakban végzett teljesítményértékelés: A vizsga elemei: 1. Szóbeli teljesítményértékelés: A félév során végzett kutatás összegző prezentációja.

Az aláírás megszerzésének feltétele, hogy a 3.3. pont szerint megszerezhető pontszám legalább 50%-át elérje a hallgató. A tantárgyból korábban szerzett aláírások és vizsgaérdemjegy megállapításnál figyelembe vehető évközi ered-mények 4 félévig visszamenőleg fogadhatók el.

A javítás és pótlás rendjét a hatályos TVSz. szabályozza.
