The objective of the subject Economics is multi-layered. On the one hand, to acquaint students with the most important economic terminology at the level appropriate to their education. On the other hand, to introduce students to the practical application of concepts and certain economic tools. Finally, building on the former knowledge and skills, impart a comprehensive economic approach that enables students to orientate themselves on key issues in the micro- and macro-spheres of the economic environment.

3. the concepts and tools of economic prosperity analysis and the concept of Pareto efficiency,
4. the different types of elasticity of supply and demand,
5. the model of intertemporal choice,
6. the economic model of the productive sector,
7. the simpler types of market structures.

1. apply the market model comparatively statically,
2. preform a welfare analysis of economic processes,
3. analyze the market-distorting effects of economic policy,
4. classify goods on the basis of their elasticity of demand,
5. perform economic calculations based on demand and supply elasticities,
6. determine the potential impact of economic and institutional changes on the decisions of economic agents,
7. make simple market structure comparisons.

A 2.2. pontban megfogalmazott tanulási eredmények értékelése két félévközi írásbeli teljesítménymérés (összegző tanulmányi teljesítményértékelés) és opcionálisan kiadott házi feladatok (részteljesítmény értékelések) alapján történik. A tantárgy teljesítéséhez szükséges a két összegző tanulmányi teljesítményértékelésből (zárthelyi dolgozatok) egyenként legalább 40% elérése.

A. Szorgalmi időszakban végzett teljesítményértékelések részletes leírása: 1. összegző tanulmányi teljesítményértékelés: a tantárgy és tudás, képesség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex, írásos értékelési módja zárthelyi dolgozat formájában, a dolgozat állhat tesztkérdésekből, melyek az egyes fogalmak értelmezését és az azok közötti összefüggések felismerését; esszékérdésekből, melyek a lexikális tudást, valamint a szintetizáló képességet vizsgálják; a rendelkezésre álló munkaidő 30-60 perc; 2. részteljesítmény értékelés (házi feladat): a tantárgy tudás, képesség, attitűd, valamint önállóság és felelősség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex értékelési módja, melynek megjelenési formája az egyénileg vagy csoportosan készített házi feladat, a házi feladat tartalmát, követelményeit, beadási határidejét, értékelési módját az oktatók a félév során határozzák meg.

• 2. összegző tanulmányi teljesítményértékelés: 50%
• részteljesítmény-értékelés (házi feladatok): 25%
• összesen: 100%+

1) A pótlási időszakban mindkét zárthelyi dolgozat pótolható és javítható. 2) A zárthelyi dolgozatok javítása esetén a jobbik dolgozat eredménye számít az érdemjegy-megállapításához figyelembe vett összesített pontszámba. 3) A vizsgaidőszak harmadik napjáig egyetlen zárthelyi dolgozat ismételten pótolható vagy javítható. 4) A házi feladatok határidőn túl a pótlási időszak kezdetéig nyújthatók be.
