Objectives

The aim of the course is to present the nature and dynamics of contemporary urban and environmental process-es from a Hungarian and international perspective through a series of case studies, introducing students to the sociological concepts, methods, and main issues related to the subject, with special emphasis on practice-oriented thinking and problem solving.

  2. the background of the social and environmental processes;
  3. the relevant sociological topics and case studies;
  4. attempts to manage social and environmental problems.

Teaching methodology

Lectures and written communication. Students works performed independently and in group.
