Objectives
The aim of the course is to present the nature and dynamics of contemporary urban and environmental process-es from a Hungarian and international perspective through a series of case studies, introducing students to the sociological concepts, methods, and main issues related to the subject, with special emphasis on practice-oriented thinking and problem solving.

- the relevant sociological topics and case studies;
- attempts to manage social and environmental problems.

Teaching methodology
Lectures and written communication. Students works performed independently and in group.

Assessment of the learning outcomes described under 2.2. is based on one written end-term test. The assessment includes the right solution of the lesson works.
