Objectives
This course is an introduction into the distinctive features of contemporary societies. Focusing on modernization and postindustrial transformations, it surveys the historical background of some of these features. It also offers a glimpse into social theory. The history of Euro-Atlantic civilisation and the characteristics of Hungarian society will be at the centre of our investigation.

General Rules
Az aláírás feltétele az órák rendszeres látogatása. A vizsgaidőszakban írásbeli vizsga (ZH) teljesíthető. A vizsgát kiválthatja az órai munka alapján szerzett megajánlott jegy. Az előadásokon két módon lehet a megajánlott jegyhez szükséges pontokat szerezni: 1. A kiadott olvasmányra és/vagy az előadáson elhangzottakra vonatkozó kérdés írásbeli megválaszolásával. 2. Csoportos szóbeli feladat megoldásával.
