The aim of the course is to equip students with knowledge of the legal issues affecting children that may arise in educational practice, to familiarize them with children’s rights, and to provide practice-oriented methods for introducing children’s rights to children in playful and engaging ways.

1. 1. Knows the sources of law and the hierarchy of legal sources.
2. 2. Knows the basic legal regulations currently in force that determine teachers’ professional work, with particular regard to provisions concerning students.
3. 3. Knows the parts concerning students in the documents that shape everyday school life, such as the House Rules, the Organisational and Operational Regulations, and the Pedagogical Programme.
4. 4. Knows the Convention on the Rights of the Child, adopted in New York on 20 November 1989.
5. 5. Knows playful, rights-awareness-enhancing tools based on specific articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

1. 1. Is able to identify the best interests of the child in decisions affecting the child and to uphold them throughout the decision-making process.
2. 2. Is able to navigate the field of education and the legal regulations concerning children.
3. 3. Is able to review their own interests in light of the child’s interests and to encourage others to do the same.
4. 4. Is able to seek appropriate assistance in cases that go beyond their competences.
5. 5. Is able to apply playful, rights-awareness-enhancing tools based on specific articles of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

A 2.2. pontban megfogalmazott tanulási eredmények értékelése alapján történik. Ezt módosíthatja az órákon tanúsított aktív részvétel.

Órai aktív részvétel, minimum 2, maximum 5 oldalas terjedelemben egy, a gyermekjogok valamely aspektusának az oktatásban való megjelenésének esettanulmányban történő feldolgozása, annak az óra keretin belül egy prezentációval egybekötött bemutatása. Gamifikált gyermekjogi jogtudatoságot fejlesztő fogllakozás levezetése.

Érdemjegy-megállapítás

1) A házi feladat a mindenkori Tanulmányi és Vizsgaszabályzat előírásai szerint, a Térítési és Juttatási Szabályzatban előírt díjak megfizetése mellett pótolható.

A 2.2. pontban megfogalmazott tanulási eredmények eléréséhez a tantárgy a következő tematikai blokkokból áll. Ezek hossza alapesetben 4 óra (két hét), ám a hallgatók összetételétől és az általuk javasolt problémák tárgyalásának jellegétől függően arányuk az egyes félévek során változhat. Az egyes félévekben meghirdetett kurzusok sillabuszaiban e témaelemeket ütemezzük a naptári és egyéb adottságok szerint.
