The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive overview of the role of law in our world, which is evolving into a knowledge-based economy and information society, and of the main areas of law regulation. The course covers a wide range of areas of current Hungarian law (constitutional law, data protection, communications law, electronic commerce and consumer protection law, and copyright law), and will introduce the basic aims and tools of legal regulation, alongside a prac-tical approach to help students operate safely in the online space in a potential start-up activity. Instead of a detailed presentation of the specific legal rules, the course will emphasise the phenomena and conflicts arising from the need to regula-te in specific areas as a result of technological developments. The teaching is based on practical examples and cases. In the context of newer phenomena, the possible regulators and their interrelationships will be discussed, which are already available or are expected to play a role in regulation.

1. They are familiar with the regulatory principles of the information society and the related regulatory instruments, in particular in the fields of fundamental rights, communications, data protection and ICT-related sol-utions (e-commerce, copyright, online media platforms).
2. Knowledge of the main features of the policy, economic and business mechanisms in the law areas concerned.
3. They are familiar with the different legal regimes applicable to online services.

• Előadásanyagok, folyóiratcikkek, policy dokumentumok, egyéb irodalomjegyzék. Kötelező irodalomként a tanulás-hoz felhasználható az előadásokon bemutatott slide show, amely a tantárgy Moodle oldaláról letölthető.

A tanulási eredmények értékelése a szorgalmi időszak során teljesítendő zárthelyi dolgozatok alapján és az órán, valamint a tanórán kívül elvégzett feladatok értékelése alapján történik. A tantárgy teljesítéséhez szükséges a zárthelyi dolgozatok legalább 50%-os teljesítése. A TVSZ-re tekintettel a tanszék elvárja az órák 70%-án való jelenlétet.

Félévközi tesztek: a tudás, képesség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex, írásos értékelési módja írásbeli dolgozat formájában, a dolgozat állhat tesztkérdésekből, melyek az egyes fogalmak értelmezését és az azok közötti összefüggések felismerését; esszékérdésekből, melyek a lexikális tudást, valamint a szintetizáló ké-pességet vizsgálják; a rendelkezésre álló munkaidő 30-90 perc. Csoportfeladatok: az egyes jogterületekhez tartozó alapvető elméleti tudást megalapozó előadásokat követő, e tudás elmélyítésére szolgáló, gyakorlati, interaktív órákon kiadott csoportfeladatokban (pl. policy paper elemzések, szakcikk feldolgozások, start-upokhoz kötődő stratégiák felépítése) való aktív részvétel. Esszé: a hallgatók az oktatók által megadott témakörök közül választva készítik el a beadandó esszét. Az esszé 4-5 oldal, maximum 20 ezer karakter terjedelmű, az akadémiai írás szabályainak megfelelő (lábjegyze-telt, szerkesztett) írásmű. Benyújtására a szorgalmi időszak végéig van lehetőség.

A zárthelyi dolgozatok javítására és pótlására a TVSZ szerint van lehetőség. Az órai munkával és a házi feladatokkal elért eredmény nem javítható vagy pótolható.
