Objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the quality assurance systems of educational institutions, along with their necessity and importance. Students will gain insight into systems that enable national and international comparison, as well as the directions, methods, and key actors of quality management in Hungary.
Academic results
Knowledge
- The student is familiar with the fundamental objectives, role, and necessity of quality assurance systems in educational and training institutions. They have an overview of the key actors responsible for quality assurance in public education and vocational training, as well as the functioning of national and international systems. The student understands the quality management procedures and methods applied in both sectors and recognizes the importance of standardized assessments.
Skills
- Is able to recognize the significance of institutional quality assurance processes and analyze their functioning in both public and vocational education. Can interpret the different levels and actors of quality management within an educational system. Applies quality assurance methods used in education and is capable of critically evaluating them based on national and international examples.
Attitude
- Demonstrates openness to understanding the role of quality assurance in educational development. Is committed to a transparent and improvement-oriented culture of evaluation. Respects the cooperation and responsibility of actors within educational systems to enhance quality.
Independence and responsibility
- Demonstrates professional self-reflection and the ability to self-correct in decision-making.
- Displays a high level of autonomy in raising and analyzing both general and specific issues within their professional field.
- Characterized by a strong sense of cooperation and responsibility.
Teaching methodology
Lectures, communication in written and oral form, use of IT tools and techniques, optional individual and group assignments.

General Rules
The learning outcomes specified in point 2.2 are assessed through a thematic written test following the contact hours.
Performance assessment methods
Detailed description of the performance assessment during the academic term: - Attendance of at least 70% of the contact hours is compulsory (according to § 105.3 of the TVSZ) - Submission of the thematic essay - Assessment of subject knowledge, skills, attitudes and competences of the autonomy and responsibility type.
