Objectives
The aim of the course is to introduce various aspects of ESG risk assessment (supplier risk assessment also included) through a thematic workshop.
Academic results
Knowledge
- Knows the types of ESG risks (e.g. environmental risks, social compliance, corporate governance risks.
- Knows the ESG risk assessment methods.
- Able to identify suppliers and categorize them (direct and indirect, critical or replaceable suppliers).
- Knows the supplier risks, with a focus on ESG compliance.
- Knows the related good practices, case studies.
- Familiar with national and international risk assessment software (is able to list several of them).
Skills
- The student is able to identify and prioritise ESG risks in a supply chain.
- Able to create a risk matrix based on ESG aspects.
- Able to establish supplier risk profiles.
- Able to create ESG questionnaires, self-assessment systems.
Attitude
- Actively manages risks.
- Able to build partnerships with supply chain actors.
- Uses the opportunities offered by IT tools
Independence and responsibility
- Able to independently plan and implement ESG risk assessment.
- Has responsibility for the implementation of all related management tasks.
