Objectives
The course is aimed to prepare the students for the economic language exam, as well as teach them about the opera-tions of the corporate and business sectors and the related technical vocabulary. The course prepares students for situations in oral and written communication, required in economic life. The course is aimed to enhance the lan-guage competency of students who already have B2-level language competence.

- • The students are familiar with the typical topics and sections of the relevant exams.

- • They are familiar with the assessment criteria used for the various sections.

- • The students are able to understand written technical texts, newspaper articles and adverts, and collect key pieces of information.
- • They understand and follow conversations in their field of expertise, and are able to complete tasks which assess the comprehension of texts during the listening part of the language exam.
- • They are able to create texts (business letters, analyses of charts), using the technical terminology of their spe-cialist area.
- • They are able to communicate effortlessly and freely with members of the community using the economic language, and they are able to support their arguments with examples and data.
Attitude
- • They are open to discuss economic processes in a foreign language.
- • The students strive to cooperate and complete the tasks in a precise manner.
Independence and responsibility
- • They have the necessary strategies for developing their technical language competence independently and take responsibility for improving their language proficiency.
Teaching methodology
The course focuses on establishing the strategies required for the exams, therefore we complete a lot of practice tests during the lessons and as homework. We use a lot of cooperation techniques to improve listening skills.

General Rules
Teljesítési követelmény: órákon való aktív részvétel (megengedett hiányzás 30%), valamint a félév során kiadott fel-adatok és/vagy dolgozatok teljesítése.
