Objectives
The course is aimed to enhance the language competency of students who used to have at least a B1+/B2-level lan-guage proficiency, in which they have become less efficient and less confident with time. The course is aimed to fill in the gaps and enable the students to use their B2-level language competently once again, so that after completing this course they will be able to join one of our B2 credit courses or preparatory courses for the intermediate language ex-ams. We revise and systematise the grammatical structures required for B2-level communication, aim to develop language skills in a balanced way, while also taking the needs of the students into consideration.

Knowledge
- • The students already know the language and its structural elements, which are necessary for B2-level com-munication,
- • they are familiar with the typical linguistic tools and phrases, required for communicating with members of the target culture and necessary for expressing their opinions.
Skills
- • They understand the main line of thought and key pieces of information of more complex texts with specific or abstract topics (descriptions, reports, interviews, conversations),
- • they are able to summarise the main points of texts they have read or heard,
- • they are able to express their feelings and opinions on a given topic,
- • they apply the linguistic structures, corresponding to the above-mentioned level of language competence, in their written and verbal communication.
Attitude
- • The students are open to learn about the characteristics of foreign cultures,
- • they are open to get in touch and maintain contact with members of the target-language culture,
- • they are keen to fill in the gaps in their language competence.
Independence and responsibility
- • The students are aware of their strengths and weaknesses,
- • they have the necessary strategies for improving and maintaining their language competence even inde-pendently.
Teaching methodology
Alternating cooperation techniques, teamwork, working in pairs or independently, in writing or verbally, using IT tools and techniques, project tasks.
Materials supporting learning
- A hallgatók szükségleteihez igazodó B2 szintű anyagok (írott szövegek, hanganyagok, videók). - B2-level materials (written and audio materials, videos) adjusted to the needs of the students.
General Rules
Teljesítési követelmény: órákon való aktív részvétel (megengedett hiányzás 30%), valamint a félév során kiadott fel-adatok és/vagy dolgozatok teljesítése.
