General Rules

Assessment of the learning outcomes is based on a written mid-semester assessment (comprehensive mid-term assessment) required for obtaining the course signature, and a final written examination during the examination period. The final examination may be replaced by an optional mid-semester comprehensive assessment, through which students may obtain a recommended final grade based on their semester performance. During the 14-week teaching period, students may earn bonus points through occasional homework assignments, in-class tasks, and class participation. The detailed assessment criteria are determined jointly by the course coordinator and the course instructors.

Performance assessment methods

Assessment during the study period is based on a comprehensive written mid-semester assessment evaluating the knowledge, skills, attitudes, and autonomy and responsibility competencies associated with the course. The assessment is administered in the form of a written test consisting of multiple-choice and short-answer questions assessing factual knowledge, the understanding of key concepts, and the recognition of relationships between them, as well as essay-type questions assessing the application of knowledge and problem identification and problem-solving skills. The scope of the course material covered by the assessment is determined by the course coordinator in consultation with the course instructors. Assessment during the examination period is based on a comprehensive written examination evaluating the same learning outcomes. The examination consists of multiple-choice and short-answer questions assessing factual knowledge, the understanding of key concepts, and the recognition of relationships between them, as well as essay-type questions assessing problem identification and problem-solving skills. The scope of the course material covered by the examination is determined by the course coordinator in consultation with the course instructors. Students who successfully complete the compulsory and optional comprehensive mid-semester assessments may obtain a recommended final grade, which exempts them from taking the written examination. Students who do not obtain or do not accept the recommended grade may complete the course by taking the written examination, in which case the final course grade is determined solely by the result of the written examination.

Retake and late completion

2) Amennyiben az 1) pont szerinti pótlással sem tud a hallgató aláírást szerezni, úgy – szabályzatban meghatározott díj megfizetése mellett – második alkalommal, a pótlási időszakban ismételt kísérletet tehet a sikertelen első pótlás javítására.
