REGULATORY TOOLS IN THE INFORMATION SOCIETY - BMEGT55A301

The aim of the course is to introduce the regulatory solutions to the social risks of the information society and the main areas of regulation. Topics covered include data protection, consumer protection, electronic commerce, media law, intellectual property rights, criminal law issues in the digital environment, and regulatory issues related to artificial intelligence.

1. The student will be aware of the fundamental social risks associated with technological development in the information society and the regulatory issues involved in addressing them.
2. The student will be aware of the regulatory principles of the information society and the most important regulatory instruments related to it, especially in the areas of data protection, information society-related services and the application of artificial intelligence.
3. The student will be familiar with the system of protection of intellectual works, especially in the fields of copyright and industrial property rights.

2. The student will be able to distinguish between legal and other regulatory instruments relating to information society services and the application of artificial intelligence.

The teaching of the subject is based on the presentation of the basic system of regulation, the interrelationships between the different areas of law, and the discussion of cases illustrating specific problems, phenomena and conflicts. Lectures will be interactive, based on questions and comments from students, sometimes drawing on their practical experience. The presentation of cases will be supported by the use of multimedia teaching aids. The institutional visit will offer experiential learning.

A tanulási eredmények értékelése a szorgalmi időszak során teljesítendő zárthelyi dolgozatok alapján és az órán, valamint a tanórán kívül elvégzett feladatok értékelése alapján történik. A tantárgy teljesítéséhez szükséges a zárthelyi dolgozatok legalább 50%-os teljesítése.

A zárthelyi dolgozatok: a tudás, képesség típusú kompetenciaelemeinek komplex, írásos értékelési módja írásbeli dolgozat formájában, a dolgozat állhat tesztkérdésekből, melyek az egyes fogalmak értelmezését és az azok közötti összefüggések felismerését; esszékérdésekből, melyek a lexikális tudást, valamint a szintetizáló képességet vizsgálják; a rendelkezésre álló munkaidő max 60 perc.

• Zárthelyi dolgozatok: 50
• Órai munka + Házi feladat: 50

Az aláírás feltétele a foglalkozások 50%-án való részvétel.

A zárthelyi dolgozatok javítására és pótlására a TVSZ szerint van lehetőség. Az órai munkával és a házi feladatokkal elért eredmény nem javítható vagy pótolható.

A 2.2. pontban megfogalmazott tanulási eredmények eléréséhez a tantárgy a következő témakörökből áll. Az egyes félévekben meghirdetett kurzusok sillabuszaiban e témaelemeket ütemezzük a naptári és egyéb adottságok szerint.
