Objectives

The subject equips trainees with relevant knowledge and a range of specific skills indispensable for finding their position in the market, they become familiar with the relevant legal background and international quality standards, with the national and international professional organisations and associations, and learn to make responsible decisions in professional and ethical issues.

  1. are familiarised with the various interpreter roles that might be needed in the language mediation market;
  2. are aware of the work done by national and international professional organisations and associations, international standards, and are aware of the (current) topics and tendencies of the market.

  1. can make a difference between the various professional requirements;
  2. have the capability of making decisions in professional and ethical issues, a skill necessary for being active in the market.

Teaching methodology

The subject involves live/video presentations party delivered by TFK lecturers and partly by professionals working in the domestic/international market. The comprehension of the presentations and the learning material is supported by specifical-ly compiled tests on an online education platform. We organise a specific forum to discuss ethical issues.

A szorgalmi időszakban az egyes tananyaghoz tudásfelmérő ellenőrző tesztek tartoznak, a tesztek kitöltése kötelező. A hallgató félévvégén a tudásfelmérő tesztet ír a teljes félévet felölelő anyagból.
